Childhood Reading


'Currently Boo is on a reduced school timetable, which is playing havoc with my writing schedule. It does mean that I get to spend a lot of time with him, which as we’re still getting to know each other is really nice.
One of the best things about hanging around with an inquisitive seven year old is that you get to see the world through their eyes. When you’re answering questions about how the world works, it makes you pause for a moment and think ‘Actually, that is kind of cool...’'

  1. So true! I'm even surprised at what comes out of some of my students' mouths and they are faaaar from seven!

  2. Oh, that would be a nice angle of wonder to look at things through. It seems like when my kids were little so much of the time was super busy. I didn't get to enjoy enough of that. The time for the writing will come.

  6. When my boys were little it was big fun to hang out in the playground and other various places with them. Watching kids' movies is cool too.
